OUR APPROACH

Follow the notes.
Find a new favourite.

The perfume you love can tell you something about the scents you might enjoy next.

Begin with a familiar fragrance

Choose the exact version you wear. An eau de toilette and an eau de parfum with the same name can have different notes. The map shows selected notes from brand or retailer descriptions, with a source link.

Or explore by scent

Our six scent families are an approachable way to explore overlapping styles. Many fragrances sit across more than one family; the categories aren’t strict rules.

From preferences to suggestions

Our approach brings together your preferences and published fragrance notes. Shared notes are a useful starting point; the balance of ingredients, format and character matter too.

What a match can—and can’t—tell you

Notes describe scent impressions, not a complete ingredient formula. Two perfumes can share vanilla or jasmine and still smell very different. We won’t describe a suggested solid as an exact equivalent without evidence.

Sources and corrections

We use brand and retailer descriptions for the current note maps. Illustrations are visual interpretations; accords such as musk or marine notes are shown symbolically. Tell us about an error through our contact page.
